He was predeceased by: his parents, I. W. Tyre and Doris Wright Tyre; and his daughters, Stacey Gambrell and Holley Tyre. He is survived by: his wife Mary Margaret "Meg" Summerlin; his daughters, Leslie Gayle (Matt) of Vacaville and Christy Tyre of Lynchberg, VA; Gloria Thomas of Waynesboro. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a niece.
