He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Brown and Susie Brown; his sister Deloris Gray; his brother-in-law Charles Phoenix Sr.; and his cousin Dot Weary.
He is survived by: his siblings, Clarence Brown Jr. (Dolmicia), Jimmy Brown, Mildred Brown-Phoenix, Cheryl Brown, Tangi White, Gwendolyn Neal and Brenda Bristol; his siblings' children, Susan Brown, Jasmine Brown, Jamair Brown, Mia Jackson, Jarred Brown, Tyler Brown and Timothy Brown; his close friends, Joann Jefferson-Powell, Joann Rivers and Ada Dean Curry; and his cousin Bernice Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
