She was predeceased by : her parents, Ausie Gandy and Leronia Silver Gandy; and her siblings, Leon Gandy, Ponce Gandy, Catherine Gandy Nesmith, Corine Gandy and Reatha Gandy Reed.
She is survived by : her children, Lindora Bailey-Hill, Doris Carter, Barbara, Jerome Carter, Nathaniel Carter (Louvenia) and Dwight Carter; her siblings, Ozzie Gandy (Sarah), Melvin Gandy and Dorothy Chambliss; her sisters-in-law, Marie Gandy and Barbara Jean Gandy; her grandchildren, Shawnetta Jackson (Tommy), Derrick Walker (Kamecia) and Devon Walker (Lorri); her great grandchildren, Shonteria Lee, Kentonya Lee, Rebecca Walker, Dri Walker, Zuri Walker, Javion Davis, Jimmy Davis III, TyQuan Ivey, D'marion Tarver, Franklin Griffin of Devon Walker, JR., Devon Walker III and Dekhary Walker; and her goddaughter Lillie Mae Robinson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing friends.
