She was predeceased by: her father Charles McPherson; her husband Mike Nevels; her daughter Kimberly Kay Nevels; her parent Karrie "Tootsie" McPherson; and her brother Keith McPherson.
She is survived by: her children, Melinda Johnson (Brian) and James Michael Nevels; her grandchildren, Mary Yant (Robby), Austin Sapp (Courtney), Karrie Hutchcraft (Tyler), Brody Johnson (Bentley), Joseph Michael Nevels and Holley James Nevels; and her brother Charles Kenneth McPherson. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Jay First Baptist Church Christmas Outreach program.
