With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Iris La Faye Smith of Jay, Florida, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Douglas Scott and Etha Mattie Nichols Scott; her siblings, Raymond Max Scott, Tiny Lousie Buffington and Peggy Gail Godwin (Wayne); and her friend Audrey Shell.
She is survived by: her grandchild Grandmama; her children, Lewie Joe Smith (Susan), Connie Denise Autrey (Mark), Sharon Lynn Patrick and Jeanna Charlene English (David); and her grandchildren, Tracey Renee Norris (Rick), Jodie Suzanne Spillers (Jacob), Sheena Lynn Locklin (Oscar), Megan Julet Lewis (Josh), Katie Leigh Porter (Charles), Krista Mia Autrey, Kathryn Ruth English, Rhett Jackson Autrey, Travis Joseph Smith (Brittany), John Mark Patrick, Joe Keith English, Micheal David English, Austin Joel Albert Autrey and Stephen Smith English (Caitlyn). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jay Church of Christ (4043 FL-4, Jay, FL 32565). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
