He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard R. Gross and Helen Yantis Dunn; his brother Gregory Allen Gross; and his grandson Tylor Ryan Gross. He is survived by: his wife Donna Harper Gross (Allentown) of Jay; his sons, Howard R. Gross (Allentown) of Jay and Jerry Lee Gross Jr. (Donna) of Pensacola, FL; his granddaughter Gabriella Lee Gross of Pensacola, FL; and his siblings, Cheryl Gross Beck of Arlington, TX, Robert (Rusty), Dunn (Alaine) of Piqua, OH and Debbie Lynn Wooddell (Scott Wooddell) of Rockwall, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and very dear friends.
