With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Oliver Virgil Lunsford (Jay, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 98. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Lunsford and Lettie V. Anderson Lunsford (Lord); his wife Doris Lunsford; his sons, Wayne Lunsford and Larry Lunsford; his grandchildren, Wes Rivenbark and Teresa Lunsford; and his siblings, Harold, Ralph, Joe Lunsford, Etowah Thomas and Merle Lunsford.
He is survived by: his children, James Lunsford and Ann Hamby; and his siblings, Nell Portor, Ferrin Lunsford (Opal) and Waylon Lunsford (Hazel).
A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at 7280 Pine Grove Rd, Jay, FL 32565. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pine Grove Baptist Church (3300 Pine Level Church Rd, Jay, FL 32565).
