With sadness, we share the passing of Daryl Smith of Juno Beach, Florida. Daryl, born on September 8, 1960 in Franklin, Illinois, passed away on August 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Daryl for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Daryl’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He is survived by: his mother Peggy Taylor; his stepfather Ed Taylor; his father Dean Smith; his brother Ted Smith (Julie); his stepsiblings, Jon Taylor (Paige) and Ellen Powers (Dickie); his nephew Jordan Smith (Chelsea); his niece Brandi Rogers (Chad); and his friend Alice Montes. He is also survived by six great-nieces and great-nephews; several cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Union Funeral Home (213 E Oak St, West Frankfort, IL 62896). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
