He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Mendelson and Jeanne Mendelson; and his sister Lynne. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennelle Mendelson O'Leary (Lucas) and Jerrica Mendelson Ryan (Joseph); his grandchildren, Mason and Charlotte O'Leary; his brother Ric Mendelson; his half-brother Jeff Mendelson; and his friend Dennis Batur.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in his honor to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or to Trustbridge Hospice of Palm Beach County.
