He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Mary Ann; his sister Maureen; and his former wife Joan Catherine. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his sister Margaret; his children, Gerard Patrick Jr. (Pamela), Michael Charles (Heloisa), Stephen Francis (Jeanine), Alice Anne (Mark), Thomas Martin (Jennifer) and Christopher John (Natalie); and his stepchildren, Dean, James (Luz) and Michael (Alana). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
