He was predeceased by: his parents, James Chidester and Catherine Chidester. He is survived by: his children, Shea Peterson (Scotty), Gavin Gould-Chidester (Yuu) and Natasha Schauer (Jason); his grandson Timothy; and his children, Raegan, Bella and Silas.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home (250 Center St, Jupiter, FL 33458).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Dr. Chidester's Memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. C's hometown (https://www.stjude.org.).

“We’re deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Dr Chidester. While he has been my son’s doctor since 1995 and then when my wife and I moved to Florida in 2002, he became our Family doctor. As much as I respected and admired his medical knowledge and experience, what I loved the most was talking to him was like talking to wise, old friend that gave you comfort in what he was saying. We will miss him. R.I.P. my friend.”
