He was predeceased by: his wife Myrna Carol Schmidt; and his sons, Sven Robert Schmidt and Thomas Alan Schmidt. He is survived by: his children, Keith William Schmidt, Katrina Schmidt Whaley and Lori Parker Coté; and his grandchildren, Lisa Schmidt, Keith Schmidt, Karin Pullen, Kevin Schmidt, Kristopher Schmidt, Hamilton Whaley, Ruby Dunaway, Alayna Schmidt, Kelsey Côté and Kelli Schmidt. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
