He was predeceased by: his father German; his wife Linda (Walter); his brother Ralph Hackenjos; and his sister-in-law Barbara Damiano. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Hackenjos (Paula) of Orange, CT and Steven Hackenjos (Michelle) of Wesley Chapel, FL; his grandsons, Daniel and Brian Hackenjos of Orange; his siblings-in-law, Dale Walton of Elmhurst, NY and Eugene Walton (Thomas Porto) of Portland, ME; his nephews, Ralph Hackenjos, Bobby Hackenjos and Gerard; and his niece Christar Damiano.
In lieu of flowers, donations to one of the three may be made in memory of Walter to Operation Care for Heroes, Blowing Rocks Preserve - The Nature Conservancy, or Love to the Rescue, Inc.
