He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alvin Gardner and Dorothy Gardner; his wife Mignon Roscher Gardner; his daughter Lisette Gardner Arias; his son-in-law John Arias; his granddaughters, Annaliese Williams and Gabriella Williams; his stepgranddaughters, Alexis Arias and Alyssa Arias; and his siblings, Dorothy Gardner Owen and John "Jack" Gardner.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trustbridge Hospice, Palm Beach Gardens.
