She was predeceased by: her parents, Amoro Mendez and Gloria Mendez (Arroyo); her husband Maximino "Max" Diaz Aponte; and her son-in-law Mark Metz. She is survived by: her daughters, Maria Metz of Melrose and Adelaida Diaz of Davenport; and her stepson Philip Metz (Melissa). She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
