Araceli (Rivera) Miranda Obituary

It is with heavy hearts, we announce that Araceli Rivera-Miranda of Kissimmee, FL lost her battle with Alzheimer's on March 09, 2024 at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her mother, Isabel Rivera and father, Antonio Rivera. Araceli is survived by her only child Marlo Miranda (son), daughter in law, Laura Miranda and grandchildren LeeAnn Miranda, Marc Miranda (wife Tiffany Miranda), Mary Katharine Miranda, Sarah Fincher, and Jillian Fincher. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren Genevieve Miranda, Gauge Miranda, and Emirah Miranda.

Araceli was a pillar in the Social Work community practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in her own practice until her illness forced her into retirement in 2011. She graduated with her MSW from the University of Connecticut and prior to that she was well known for her volunteerism through the city of New York working with the Vietnamese refugees in the 70's and giving of herself where she was able within the community. Araceli was strong in her faith and spent most of her later years working closely with the Hispanic ministries of the Reformation Evangelical Lutheran Church of Orlando.

A private burial will take place at a later time at Rose Hill Cemetery where she will be placed to rest with her parents.
