With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Nelson of Kissimmee, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 27, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lenore Bradburn Nelson and Cecil Nelson; his sisters, Virginia Witty and Mary Isabelle Willard; and his siblings-in-law, Alan and Margie Killingsworth.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Anna Killingsworth; his children, Charles Stephen Nelson (Deborah) of Normal, IL and Mary Lynn Brown (Carl Brown) of Griggsville, IL; his grandchildren, Jason Todd Brown (Jessica) of Jacksonville, IL, Brian Shane Brown (Anita) of Hawthorne Woods, IL and Katie Elizabeth Nelson (Joe Pahutski) of Olympia, WA; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Jonas, Jase, Jaxon, Mila and Banks Brown; and his close friend Mary Lou Blake. He is also survived by one niece; four nephews; several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Niebur Funeral Home (530 W Adams St, Pittsfield, IL 62363). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to be made to Griggsville United Methodist Church or Pittsfield West Cemetery.
