It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evansteen C. Carroll of Kissimmee, Florida, who passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Floyd Clifton and Cora Clifton; her husband Gabriel A. Carroll; and her siblings, Christiana Brooks, Ann Lou Montague, Minnie Harris, Flora Lee Crudup, Ruth Isaac, Corrine Mann, Petrola Clifton Fowler, Joe, Nehemiah and Richard Clifton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Yvonne M. Powell of Kissimmee, FL, Brenda R. Carroll of Charlotte, NC and Stephanie B. Carroll of Kissimmee, FL.; her grandchildren, Teshonne N. Powell of Brooklyn, NY and Virlyn Powell, Jr. (VJ) of Providence, RI.; her great grandchildren, Gianna, Ken'Dell and Nyla; her siblings, Salathiel Clifton (Linda) and Jessie Mae Buffalo (Clarence); her sister-in-law Janie Clifton; and her close friend Eva Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
