She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Burt Peterson and Viola Peterson (Cooley); her sister Ruthann Fitzgerald (Peterson); her husband Richard Allen; and her sons, Brett Allen (Amy Allen) and Scott Allen (Maureen Allen).
Her family held numerous positions in Vermont state government over the years, and she remained engaged and proud of their contributions to public service.
