He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Hazel Smith of Pennsylvania; and his former wife Kathryn Pearl Emhoff. He is survived by: his children, Michael and Betty Kay; his wife Cheryl Parrish; and his stepdaughter Vicki.
He joined a local bowling league and enjoyed the sport until Covid, retiring his bowling shoes at the age of 93.
