She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Jakobowski and Helen Jakobowski (Slabic); her husband Kenneth McKendry; her children, Michael McKendry, Diane Joel and Cindy McKendry; and her son-in-law Fritz Siebert.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made in her honor to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
