He is survived by: his close friend Gail Niciu; his son James Best; his daughter-in-law Penny Best; his daughter Kelly Esposita; his son-in-law Michael Esposita; his daughters, Shannon Proffitt and Nicole Best Faigle; and his son-in-law Rob Faigle. He is also survived by His family includes numerous grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Theresa's Catholic Church (11528 US-301, Belleview, FL 34420). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, February 17th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513-8914).
