She was predeceased by: her parents, James Miles Doby and Annie Laura Clark Doby; her husband Mac; her brother James Willard Doby; her niece Rachel Doby Pittman; and her friend Betty Boyd.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laura McNair Cummings (Milton) of Smithfield, Virginia and Leslie McNair Thomas (Bill) of Troutman; and her grandchildren, Sean, Grant Cummings, Gray and Natalie Thomas.
