He is survived by : his wife Mary Regina Vassallo Scanlon; his son Richard Joseph Scanlon; his daughter-in-law Laura; his daughter Sharon Judith Scanlon Ungrady (Dave); his grandchildren, Dominic, Isaiah, Gabriel, Maria and Cayden; and his siblings, Bonnie Szweda, Mary Sue Carter, Patrick Scanlon and David Scanlon.
