He was predeceased by: his parents, Reese Rixie (Carolyn) and John; and his siblings, David Lee, Dennis Rixie and Karen Brown (David).
He is survived by: his wife Susan Rixie; his children, Scott Rixie (Jami) and Beth Ann Wiley (Chris); his siblings, Lavelle Rixie (Ellen), Don Rixie (Cathy), Kay McGhee (Jimmy) and Lynda Rixie; his sister-in-law Tina Lee; and his grandchildren, Bo, Mady Wiley, Lexie Rixie, Kirsten and Nick Campbell of South Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Beyers Funeral Home & Crematory (1123 W Main St, Leesburg, FL 34748).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SOS Inc., a nonprofit band booster organization that supports the Leesburg High School Swarm of Sound band program.
