He was predeceased by : his parents, John Howard and Julia Munos Howard; and his wife Margaret Watterson Howard of Live Oak. He is survived by : his children, John S. Howard, Jr. (Nancy) of Corpus Christi, TX, Chris Howard of Lake City and JoAnn Howard-Heath (Arthur) of Lake City; and his former life partner Billie D. Endersbee. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
