As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Richard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arrie Lee (Blankinship) and Hiram M. "Buster" Jenkins; and his brother Billy Jenkins. He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his children, Jeremy Jenkins (Ashley) of Glen St and Jessica Jenkins (Erika) of Macclenny, FL.; his sister Rita Cox (Gordon) of Lake City, FL; and his grandchildren, Abby Craig, Kelsey Holtom (Pacey) and Macey Jenkins. He is also survived by several nieces, great nieces and nephews, and many other dear family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gateway - Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, Lake City (3596 US-441, Lake City, FL 32025). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery (2509 224th St, Lake City, FL 32024).
