He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Byrd and Lois Thomas Byrd Dicks; and his siblings, John F. Hilton and Betty Dortch. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Ann Severance Byrd; his sons, Bryan David Oder and Carlton David Oder (Dena); and his sister Peggy Carter.
