He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Brooks and Jessie Terrell Brooks; his wife Mattie Lee Weeks Brooks; and his siblings, Eugene "Gene" Brooks, Murray Henry and Ruth Brooks Phelps.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Brooks (Linda) of Lake City, Alan Brooks (Becki) of Lake City and Tina Jenkins of Lake City; his grandchildren, Ronnie, Jessica, Holly, Ryan, Brad, Virginia and Eric; his great grandchildren, Lilly, Abi, Landon, Logan, Mattilyn, Ashtyn, Elijah, Micah, Fiona, Bryson and Aydan; and his great great grandchildren, Emma, Ellie, Enslee, Amaia, Marlow, Abraham, Abrielle and Aliyah.
