He was predeceased by: his father Edmond Hobdy Carter, Jr.; his wife Caroline Jones Carter; and his son Tandy Warren "Bud" Carter, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, William "Bill" Carter (Emily) of Middleburg, FL and Edmond Hobdy Carter, III (Debbie) of Granite Falls, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
