William H. Townsend Obituary

The passing of William H. Townsend of Lake City, Florida occurred on October 9, 2026. William, born on May 4, 1937, is remembered by those who knew him. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Phil Townsend and Loralee Townsend; his wife June Carolyn Townsend; his son Ronald Casey Townsend; and his siblings, Louise, Phil Jr., Donnie and Francis.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Clayton Townsend, Rebecca Carolyn "Becky" Rainey (Glenn) and Rita Catherine "Cathy" Townsend; his grandsons, Adam Townsend, Tyler Townsend (Laura) and Wade Townsend; his great grandchildren, Wayne Townsend, Matthew Spradley (Kaylyn) and Hanani Horne (Cody); and his great great grandchildren, Hadley Noegel and Carter Spradley. He is also survived by several extended family and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Huntsville Church. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Huntsville Cemetery Association in Lake City, Florida.
