With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alan B. Oates of Lake Mary, Florida, born in Winchester, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alan left this world on May 7, 2024 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Alan is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Holmes Oates and Edith Oates. He is survived by: his wife Tootie; his children, A. Brooke Oates of Virginia Beach, VA and Laura Ahart of Fuquay-Varina, NC; and his stepdaughters, Shari Schneider of Midlothian, VA and Cami Claveau of Roswell, GA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
