He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Gritt Jr. and Hada Lunsford Gritt. He is survived by: his wife Ann Gritt; his children, Penny Goff (Matt), William Gritt (Natalie), Nicole George (James) and Toni Brown (Derick); his grandchildren, Jakob, Jilliann, Easton, Brantley, Audrey and Bennett; and his sisters, Anna Mae and Mary.
