He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Maria Luisa Vera of Torres and Esteban Torres Rios; his wife Mirta; and his children, Jacqueline Torres Ellison, Derediz Torres Jr. and Jademir Torres Vadell. He was also cherished by six grandchildren, several sisters and brothers.
