She was predeceased by: her husband Gaines Earlin Alexander, Sr.; her brothers, H. L. Moncrief and John Scott Moncrief; her parents, Howard Moncrief and Ethel Moncrief; her son-in-law James Thompson; and her grandson Jared Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Thompson of Bartow, Gaines Alexander, Jr. (Jennifer) of Winter Haven and Daniel Alexander, Sr. (Cynthia) of Lake Wales; her sister Rose Dowdy of Haines City; and her grandchildren, Jamie, Justin, Daniel, Nick, Emily and Gaines Mitchell. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
