He was predeceased by: his siblings, James Maxwell, George Wayne Mercer, Carolyn Annette Pelham and Marilyn Jeanette Kabrich. He is survived by: his parents, Ruby Mae Mendheim and George Benton Mercer; his wife Betty Ann; and his children, Lanna Mercer Barbaroux (Eduardo Beltran) of Austin and William Steven Mercer.
