She was predeceased by: her parents, Bona J. Ventura and Dorothy E. Ventura (Richardson); her husband Carey L. Britton Jr.; and her sisters, Barbara Ventura and Frances Stillwell.

She is survived by: her children, Carey J. Britton (Debra) of Boca Raton, FL and Benay Caldwell (Rodney); her siblings, Edna Stokes, Donna Thomas (Dale) and Angelo Ventura; her grandchildren, Ashley Britton, Brianna Collins, Jahna Collins and Jackson Collins; and her great grandchild Delilah. She is also survived by her family filled with nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
