He was predeceased by: his father Luis Amable Montes; and his brother Mario Montes. He is survived by: his mother Beatriz Molineros; his wife Rosa; his children, Ivonne (Daniel Rivera), Katherine (Ronny Benjamin) and Luis Giovanni (Allyson); his grandchildren, Rosalyn Rivera, Luis Rivera and Jaxon Montes; and his siblings, Rosario Montufar, Marcia Merizalde, Patricio Montes and Mercedes Guidino.
