She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Stein; her sons, Dr. David Stein (Valerie), Corey Stein (Helen) and Andrew Stein (Romelin); her grandchildren, Matthew, Catherine, Courtney, Rebecca, Harrison, Luke and Jake; her sister Doreen Ellis; and her sister-in-law Brenda Stein.
