He was predeceased by : his parents, Otis Turner and Pearl Turner; and his siblings, Louise, Betty, John D., Shirley and Paula.

He is survived by : his sons, Mark Turner (Donna) and Stephen Turner; his stepdaughter Jodi Ferrini; his grandchildren, Teal Turner (Ross Lockwood), Trea Turner (Kristen), Stephen Turner, Ben Turner, Adam Turner, Jillian Turner, Vinnie Ferrini, Cari Ferrini and Diana Pryor; and his sisters, Burnetta Jones (Leon) and Carol Griggs (Richard). He is also survived by other family members and many friends.
