He is survived by: his grandson Kyle; his wife Jeanne Duke; his children, Walter Duke, III (Lisa) and Tonya Duke; his grandchildren, Stephanie Dueck (Stephan), Brittany Nortmann (Richard), Chad Pollard, Kaitlyn Franklin, Chloe Duke Parsons (Kyle), Connor Duke, Clayton Dueck and Keira Dueck; and his great grandchildren, Colton, Dylan, Brendan, Kyle, Janelle, Christopher and Bryce.

“Connie and I offer our condolences to his family for Walter. He was a great friend when he and flew me in the 2nd/5th in Babenhausen in 63-64, and later I as would occasionally run into Walter in the airlines. But we got to know him better in a number of the Babenhausen Veterans and Friends reunions all over this country and in Germany. He was a great leader and communicator and faithful friend as he developed that organization and arranged the reunions. He was very proud of his family.”
