He was predeceased by: his father Benny Ross; his wife Margaret G. Wilson; his mother Cecelia Wilson; his stepfather Robert T. Wilson; and his former wife Alice Wilson.

He is survived by: his children, Darlene Williams (Dave), Cecelia Wilson, Mike Evans (Terri) and Vickie Hodge (Donald); his grandchildren, Alicia (Tony), Amy (Mike), Mandy, Chad, Alison (Alex) and Scott (Victoria); and his great grandchildren, Alexis, Arynn, Luke, Brayden, Winter Rose, Jackson and Violet. He is also survived by 2 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
