It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Ann Murphy of Lakeland, Florida, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Bessie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bessie farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her mother Verna Yates; her husband Harvey Franklin Hampton; and her sisters, Jeanie Eugene, Cathy and Vickie.
She is survived by: her siblings, Erlaine Mcurry, Butch Yates, Paul Raymond Yates, Elaine Yates and Sheila Hampton. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and multiple great-great-grandchildren.
