He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Edwards; his sister Debra McElhaney; his stepbrother Arthur Baker; his sister-in-law Terri Yeater; and his stepparents, Joseph Baker Jr. (John Leekley) and Ellen Edwards.
He is survived by: his mother Lillie Hughes Edwards Baker; his children, Rachel Redfern (Ronald Redfern) and Darrell Edwards Jr. (Connie Edwards); his stepdaughter Danielle Reed; his stepsisters, Amanda Baker Leekley and Laura Baker Almond; his siblings-in-law, Denise Michael Jarasiewicz and Harry McElhaney; his niece Rayann McElhaney Willis; his nephew James McElhaney; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ronald Jr., Maria, Rebecca Redfern, Hailee, Darrell III, Beau Edwards and Damien Reed Peterec; and his great grandchild Opal Redfern.
