He is survived by: his wife Nancy Wheeler Pipkin; his children, Andrew David Pipkin (Brittney) and Leslie Pipkin Smith (Nicholas); his grandchildren, Kelly Kate Pipkin, Warner Smith, Hamp Pipkin and Dottie Smith; and his siblings, Marlow Scott, Marguerite Hankins (Tom) and Paul Pipkin (Barbara). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
