He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Vinzant and Anna K. Vinzant (Hayden); his son William "Willie" Johnson (Carol); his grandsons, Nicholas DeWolf and John P. Wade, Jr.; his sister Lois Jean Letts; and his nephews, Terry A. Letts and Tommy E. Letts.
He is survived by: his wife Scharlotta Campbell Vinzant; and his children, John Vinzant (Kelly), Linda Vinzant Cain (George "Billy" Price), Clem "Butch" Johnson, James Johnson, Fred Vinzant (Michelle) and Candy Kidd (Floyd). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
