He is survived by: his wife Sophia L. Coby; his mother Delores Lockwood Dunn; his siblings, Brenda Coby, Sanetta Day, Linda Coby Veronica Dunn (Avious Williams), Rodrick Coby (Trina Downen) and George Dunn; and his children, Donishia Yarde (Derrick), Melody Williams, Melvin Jiles Jr. and Jarvis Jiles (Rachel). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren.
