He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Ely and Ruth Amos Ely. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Brooks Ely; his children, Mimi J. Carey (Mike), Gary Allen Ely (Valerie), Rob T. Smith (Ashley), Shelly Ely Pearce (Eldon) and Amy Richardson (Adonis); and his sisters, Becky Cramer and Janet Ely. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, & 5 great great grandchildren.
