He was predeceased by: his parents, David P. Barnes and Mildred Ritter Barnes; his son Daniel Barnes; and his siblings, David P. Barnes, Mary Barnes and Martha Barnes Rainer.
He is survived by: his daughter Sandra "Sandy" Barnes Hitt (Jeff); his daughter-in-law Catherine Barnes; and his siblings, Frank Barnes (Ann) and Margaret "Maggie" Barnes Smith (Doug).
