He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Jefferson and Adelma Jefferson; and his caregivers, Eva and Jack Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Susan Clayton Jefferson; his children, Joseph Clayton Jefferson and Julie Ann Jefferson; his sisters, Joann Jefferson Allen (Ralph Allen), Adelma Ansley Kilgore and Penelope Jefferson Stephens; his children, Riley Colleen Jefferson and Reagan Ferrell Jefferson; his grandchildren, Clayton Daniel Wilkinson and Sarah Caroline Sheck; his pet Ricky; and his close friend Shamus Kane.
